Release notes: October 19–25, 2026

Changes with no impact on existing DDL/API functions

AI Copilot

  • Included AI credits: companies that haven't bought AI credit packs now get a daily allowance of 10 included credits per user (resetting at midnight UTC), so everyone can use Copilot without admins topping up balances by hand. When the allowance runs out, AI features show when it comes back, members can notify their admin, and admins can contact SqlDBM for more; Copilot shows how many included credits were used today, and admins see the allowance in AI settings. Nothing changes for companies with active credit packs
  • (Fix) Self-registering MCP clients that don't request scopes now receive the standard scope set, instead of failing to connect with an invalid-scope error
  • (Fix) Re-authenticating an expired MCP connection now completes from the MCP client itself, without having to log out of SqlDBM and back in

Export

  • Export scope selection: when exporting to Excel, you can now export only part of a model — a subject area, selected diagrams, or a hand-picked set of objects — through a new scope dialog, instead of always exporting the whole project. Related objects are included automatically, so relationships stay intact when the file is imported back into SqlDBM

Snowflake

  • (Fix) Snowflake alter scripts now emit standard ALTER TABLE statements for column reorders and complex type changes, instead of create-swap-drop rebuild blocks that strict DDL pipelines rejected

Forward Engineering

  • (Fix) Identifiers that contain a quote or backtick are now escaped in generated DDL, instead of producing broken statements

PostgreSQL

  • (Fix) Re-importing an identical PostgreSQL script no longer reports tables with an inline, unnamed primary key as updated

Teradata

  • (Fix) Teradata Reverse Engineering no longer skips statements whose CHECK constraint uses a BETWEEN predicate

Logical Projects

  • (Fix) In Logical and Conceptual projects, drawing a relationship to an existing entity no longer freezes the browser, and you can now change the primary key data type on an entity that is already in a relationship

Global Objects

  • (Fix) In mapped logical projects, the data types mapping dialog now marks only genuinely inherited mappings as coming from the global standard

Table Templates

  • (Fix) Creating a table from a table template no longer adds a "_1" suffix to default columns just because another column template in the project happens to share a column name

dbt

  • (Fix) Reverse-engineering a dbt manifest now creates object dependencies alongside the foreign keys it generates

Dashboard

  • (Fix) The project actions menu is back in the Dashboard view
