Release notes: September 21–27, 2026
September 28th, 2026
Changes with no impact on existing DDL/API functions
AI Copilot
- AI review for pending approvals: approvers can run an AI review directly from the Review tab of a pending merge request and get a recommendation with a one-sentence rationale. The separate "Summarize with AI" menu on the merge, compare revisions, and alter script screens is now a single summary button
- Copilot now understands object groups: it can answer which groups exist on a diagram, what's inside a group, and which group an object belongs to, and can use a selected group as context just like selected tables and views
- (Fix) Copilot tool actions (deleting tags, columns, and relationships, and adding flags) no longer report success before the change has actually completed, and undo history is restored for subject-area edits and for auto-layout after placing objects
- (Fix) The skill editor now enforces the same name, description, and instruction length limits as the server, preventing raw server errors and mismatched slash-command previews
Diagrams
- Relationship docking: a relationship line can now be attached to a specific side (top, right, bottom, or left) of the parent or child object, instead of only floating automatically. Set the docked side while drawing a relationship, from the link's context menu, or in its property editor — and the choice is saved with the diagram
Model Governance
- Data Ownership field group: a new governance field group with Contact and Date field types for tracking ownership metadata on objects. Contact details and a Governed / Trusted status now appear in the Excel Objects tab and import/export, OpenAPI responses, diagram nodes, the properties panel, Database Documentation, and Concurrent Working compare and merge
PostgreSQL
- New data types: bpchar, geometry, and geography are now recognized during Reverse Engineering, generated correctly in forward-engineered DDL, and mapped to the right logical type by default
- Generated columns: define an expression on a PostgreSQL column and mark it as stored directly in the column editor — Reverse Engineering, Forward Engineering, and the alter script now round-trip this syntax correctly instead of misreading it as an identity column
Notifications
- (Fix) If you missed several releases, all unread release notifications since your last visit are now shown together (newest first), instead of only the most recent one
Integrations
- (Fix) Several GitHub integration issues fixed: a visual blink when saving or pushing to Git while an authorization tab opens, a missing "Connected to Git" status label, and an error when deleting a modeler in the Admin console
Metadata
- (Fix) Tabbing between columns in the metadata governance panel now places the cursor at the end of the text instead of the start
Teradata
- (Fix) Typed literals in Teradata COMPRESS clauses are now handled correctly
Global Objects
- (Fix) Deleting an object in a Global Modeling project after a failed Global reference check no longer crashes, and large projects open faster after cutting redundant model loads
